Welcome to the Brevard, North Carolina AAUW Website

Established in 1955, our branch currently has over 140 members, including students attending college in Brevard and is the largest branch in the state.  We support both local and national scholarships as well as local organizations and programs that benefit women and girls. Please visit our Scholarships page  to see what happens with funds from the Book Sale. We welcome you to join us.

We are a working Branch with many opportunities to support our major fundraisers which are the sale of Online Books thru EBay (ManyBooksLittleTime on EBay) and an annual Book Sale in June held at Boshamer Gym on the Brevard College Campus. For more information, please visit our Book Sale page.

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls. Since our founding in 1881, AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political.

Membership is open to anyone holding an associate’s (or equivalent, e.g. RN), bachelor’s, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

 Donation schedule is resuming on Thursdays 10 – 2:00 on June 20th

        Check under ” Books ”  in the Menu at the top of the page for more information about the Annual Book Sale 

 Used Book Drop Off is at ” The Book Nook  ” on Thursdays from 10:00 – 2:00.  We accept Books, CDs,  DVDs, Audios, LPs, Puzzles and Games that are in good condition. Please no encyclopedias, dictionaries, or Readers Digest condensed books.
